H Alpha in a very dusty bear with added bright meteor

 

A stack of 12x5miin lights processed in a different way to bring out the H alpha and 0111 light captured through our modded DSLR and Altair Triband filter. Canon 200d DSLR Sigma EX zoom lens at f=15mm
cropped.
Pip Stakkert has been playing around with different ways of processing data using Affinity Photo in combination with other astronomy softwares. In this image Pip has brought out the dust and gas glowing with Hydrogen alpha and Oxygen 3 light - Joel Cairo CEO of the Jodrell Plank Observatory.

Lenticular Galaxy M85

 

Deep Space between Coma, Virgo and Leo. Messier 85 top right. Wide-field image taken with the astro-modded Canon 200d camera with clip in Altair Astro Dual Band filter.  Altair 66mm Doublet refractor with 0.8 focal reducer and field flattener. Nice evening in March 2022 and I decided to try out the new camera on an area of the sky seldom imaged from the Jodrell Plank Observatory. The Galaxies M85, NGC4539 and NGC4450 are clearly visible.- Kurt Thrust current Director of the Jodrell Plank Observatory
